Job Description

IT Programmer / Web Developer-Accepting resumes for current opening

JOB SUMMARY

Analyzes requirements and develops Web Applications. Makes changes or
enhancements to current computer systems/applications to adhere to
procedural changes or user requests.

Consults with agency employees as necessary to gather information for
application development. Designs and develops applications by utilizing
various programming languages and environments. Converts designs and
specifications into computer code.

Provides daily technical support and assistance to agency users.
Researches and identifies the system and/or user's problem.
Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow,
logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces
with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and
outputs.

Designs, develops and/or refines, tests, and implements new computer
systems and/or programs based on user's needs and requirements. Creates
test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs
meet specifications. Monitors performance of programs after
implementation.

Writes and maintains technical specifications. Analyzes and estimates
feasibility, costs, time, and compatibility with hardware and other
programs. Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and timetables
for developing programs.

Researches and evaluates software and hardware to assist in programming
or to use as program platforms. Must be familiar with Microsoft
technologies including Visual Studio, SQL Servers, and .NET as well as
Oracle 9i+.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in computer programming or related field; and
six (6) months of recent progressively responsible programming, web site
development, or computer graphic experience; or equivalent combination
of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to comprehend and communicate fluently in verbal and
written English. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general
business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or
governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business
correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present
information and respond to questions from individual users or groups of
managers, or employees.
Most be able to pass a comprehensive background investigations and no
drug usage within the last 2 years.
